Every April for the past 14 years I travel to Sin City to join the masses at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Yes, it's time for the NAB Show. This is a huge geek out session for me. Camera, lighting, software etc. all under 3 halls. Meeting up with friends from all over the world.
I used to go to interview companies like Adobe, Maxon, and Blackmagic Design about their new wares. Now I go for iOgrapher. After 3 years of having a large booth, and spending about $20k each time, I now like to be more mobile. I take meetings, do dinners, film content, and find new products for our site.
This year was awesome. While on a live interview with the amazing Luria Petrucci of LSP, I keep seeing these motion rights moving the many MEVO cams around. I was so entranced I just had to go meet the company that made them.
So off I went to find SYRP, a New Zealand company, who make awesome motion control rigs. When I found them it was instant love! They knew about iOgrapher and used it! I told them we had to sell their products in the US! And we made a deal! Starting soon we will have their newest product the Genie Mini on our virtual shelf. This item sits on a tripod or flat surface and using their all, you can pan left and right, do 360 or more spins, timelapse, videos, and panoramas. It is amazing. I see a lot of use with our products and mobile content creators looking to up their game.
Here is a video of me unboxing the Genie Mini. Look for more videos soon! Enjoy! Dave
